Bob Barker takes final bow on "The Price Is Right"

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Giving away one more car to an ecstatic contestant, TV host Bob Barker taped his last round of "The Price Is Right" on Wednesday, ending 35 years as host of America's longest-running game show and five decades on network television. "I thank you for inviting me into your homes for more than 50 years," Barker said.

As soon as this story was posted, Rumors have been circulating among various forums that several candidates were being considered for the post. The few that I remember, was Rosie O' Donnel, George Hamilton, John O'Hurley.

It seems that the current winner would be Drew Carrey. Well, A little youth would never hurt the show. He has the very obscure charisma which would be a welcome addition to the show.

I loved the price is right as a kid. It was fun to guess the prices based on what you don't know about the economics of the other side of the world.

Sigh Those were simpler times, I truly miss it yet barely remember...
