What On Earth Has Happened to the Popeye Chickn & Biscuits Franchise In The Metro?

For some reason, I suddenly remembered that delectable chicken & biscuits meal served a little less than a decade ago and wondered what happened to it.

While fooling around in Google, I found this article in Wikipedia.

In a more interesting note, I did find a branch of Church's Chicken on the east side of SM Mall of Asia.

I have tried eating once and it doesnt seem to be the same Popeye we used to know and love. I think I'll try it again one more time and see if this is a replacement to quench my hunger.

Mmmmm....

What is Grimace?

The question is pretty short. What exactly is Grimace, the McDonald’s character? I mean Ronald McDonald is a clown, that’s pretty clear. And the majority of the remaining McDonald’s characters seem to have at least a passing resemblance or relation to McDonald’s food. Grimace is just a purple blob. So help me solve the mystery of Grimace

Bizarre Glasses - You Have To See 'Em To Believe 'Em

Alas, I just went out with my best girl to Star City and ended up losing a pair of Rudy Project sunglasses.

Im in the market for a new one and while fooling around in the interwebs, I found this obscure set of pictures of different glasses from the late 50's to the mid 60's

The shapes were really odd back then.....and they claimed the 50's was a conservative era...ha! See what weird abstract shapes they reproduced to get attention towards the eyes!

How to hallucinate using ping-pong balls and a radio

Do you ever want to change the way you see the world? Wouldn't it be fun to hallucinate on your lunch break? Although we typically associate such phenomena with powerful drugs like LSD or mescaline, it's easy to fling open the doors of perception without them: All it takes is a basic understanding of how the mind works.

Leonardo Da Vinci's Notebook

Finally a scanned version of perhaps the most idea-filled notebook by the creative yet elusive Leonardo Da Vinci.

http://www.bl.uk/collections/treasures/digitisation.html

Too bad, I cant look it up at work because of a few JavaScript revisions but hey!

That hasnt stopped me yet. May be it'll inspire me with a few ideas of my own I can spawn upon the world.

Moving Forward

I missed her company. Too bad she's leaving.

Oh well, it's sad but what's new?

Maybe in the next life we could have been...not at this time though.

The Art Of Conversation

How I miss people who pratice the art of conversation.

It was said that conversation is a dying art. It's been a while since I've talked to people who can really converse.

I may be hanging with the wrong crowd. I miss my friends back in highschool. We may have been high all the time but I remember them well.

I wonder what they are all doing right now. Hmmm....
